My name is Becca Hoyer and I'm currently a student at Arcadia University studying Graphic Design and Art Education, expecting to graduate in May of 2026. I landed on this path after deciding to pursue my passions of art-making and helping others. Having completed much coursework in both Graphic Design and Art Education at this point, I’m beginning to see how both pursuits align closely with my passions. With teaching, of course, you get to work with young people and foster imagination and creativity, but I also believe that through design work, there is also an opportunity to make a positive impact for people. Within the past two years, I’ve taken Digital Imaging, Introduction to Graphic Design, Typography, Interactive Design and Brand & Identity Graphic Design courses, and especially with the last two, I’ve had the opportunity to create work designed for “clients” with the hopes of helping their business or organization in some way.
I particularly enjoy working on logo & branding, marketing, graphics and collateral design, but I have some familiarity with UX/UI design as well. Software that I’ve worked in includes: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Portfolio and Premiere Pro, Procreate, and Figma. Additional applications and tools I’m familiar with are Google Drive, Docs, Slides, Sheets, Sites and Classroom, Canvas, Zoom and Canva.
